Sri Lanka’s hill country is a different world — cool mountain air, rolling tea estates, colonial-era bungalows, misty waterfalls and some of the most scenic train journeys on earth. This 7-day private tour moves through the heart of the highlands at a pace that allows you to actually feel the landscape rather than just photograph it.
You travel on the famous Kandy–Ella scenic railway through the tea country — one of the world’s great train journeys. You hike to the top of Little Adam’s Peak above Ella and walk the Nine Arches Bridge at dawn. You visit a working tea estate and learn how Ceylon tea moves from leaf to cup. You explore Horton Plains National Park and stand at World’s End, looking out over a two-kilometre cliff to the coastal plains below.
Accommodation is in plantation bungalows, hill country boutique hotels and converted colonial properties — each chosen for its setting and character. This is the Sri Lanka that most visitors miss when they stay on the coast.
Guided walk through plucking rows, factory processing and fresh-brew tasting at a working estate.
