Sri Lanka’s coastline is 1,340 kilometres of white sand, colonial forts, fishing villages, and some of the best whale watching in the world. This 7-day private coastal journey moves from the Dutch-built ramparts of Galle Fort along the south coast to the turquoise bays of Trincomalee on the east — combining history, marine wildlife, and some of the finest beaches in the Indian Ocean.
You spend time in UNESCO-listed Galle Fort — a living colonial town of Dutch-era churches, boutique shops, and seafood restaurants within ancient walls. You take a whale watching boat off Mirissa to find blue whales, the largest animals on earth, in their natural ocean habitat. You continue east to Tangalle’s quiet bays and on to Trincomalee, where the British-built Fort Frederick overlooks one of the world’s finest natural harbours and Pigeon Island’s coral reef offers world-class snorkelling.
Accommodation is in boutique beach hotels and characterful coastal properties. Private vehicle and driver throughout. This is Sri Lanka’s coast experienced at depth, not skimmed from a sun lounger.
